Stefanie Antunes is a visionary in the childbirth field. She leads the Discover Birth organization providing a variety of services to expectant parents and training for those wishing to pursue work in the childbirth field. Stefanie is president of the Ontario Association of Doulas, former Public Relations Director for DONA International,  and sits on many local boards and coalitions to improve our communities. She is a DONA-approved Birth Doula Trainer. Stefanie is the founder of The Birth Doula Program at the Scarborough Hospital.

 Stefanie is a contributing author in the best selling Power of Women United and Bearing Witness: Childbirth Stories Told by Doulas. She is a regular contributing writer and blogger, and has done many interviews online and for TV/radio.

PUR2o founder Antonio Cernuto is a pioneer in the water filtration and purification industry. He has been dedicated to improving the quality of drinking water for his clients for more than 30 years. His first office opened in Toronto, Canada, providing water purification systems for residential and commercial use.

Using his expertise and seeing the health and environmental dangers of plastic bottles and a real need to eliminate them from landfills, he partnered with Mizar Turdiu to offer state-of-the-art drinking and cooking water systems as well as whole-house filtration systems to the USA.

Jessica Reid Sliwerski is a literacy specialist, reading enthusiast, and former elementary school teacher. Her picture book, Cancer Hates Kisses, was inspired by her own breast cancer treatment and recovery. She lives in Oakland with her husband and daughter.

  • How Jessica, a mom of a new baby, dealt with her breast cancer diagnosis
  • Why Jessica feels it is important to help parents with cancer talk to their kids in an empowering way.

Chef Carlos Carballo

Food and Dining have been an integral part of Chef Carlos Carballo’s life. Having a Spanish-Filipino background, the influence and fusion of both the European and Asian cultures broadened Chef Carlos’ taste, enthusiasm and imagination for food. He knew then from an early age that he wanted to cook. 

Chef Carlos trained in the UK and had the opportunity to travel to some parts of Europe to experience the cuisine first hand.

He worked in 4 countries (UK, Philippines, Canada and Hong Kong) before landing in Toronto where he was given the opportunity of ownership and partnership in the Substance Food Group.  Currently Chef Carlos is the chef at the very successful restaurant Francobollo in Toronto, Ontario and heads up the catering division of Substance Food Group.

Tuesday’s show will cover topics such as:

  • How to make your meals look like they were cooked by a pro
  • Cooking the perfect turkey
  • Christmas cocktails
