There are so many different opinions on the best diet to curb cancer I found it confusing to find the right way for me. I had tried a number of diets and was beginning to feel discouraged to the point where I’d lost interest in making food. Cathy was exactly what I needed. Sharing a wealth of information on the role of diet and healing plus dozens of easy recipes she not only refined but simplified my eating habits. Maybe the best part is that Cathy understands the cancer mindset and that eating can become a stress. This was the case for me, but after her 4 week course I’m certain I’m now on the right path, and that confidence has taken away much of the anxiety. I’m greatly comforted that Cathy is invested in my road to recovery. I only wish I’d connected with her sooner!
There is no way of preparing for a cancer diagnosis and I didn’t have many resources to guide me in the ways that I needed. I didn’t know what I needed. As someone who has had the luxury of being healthy for most of my life, it was a devastating shock to the system. The loss of control was debilitating and I spent weeks in terrified anticipation of the treatment and the long term effects it would have on my body. My first instinct was to seek naturopathic and nutritional counselling and this path led to Cathy. What I found in Cathy was a real-life angel, and the coach I needed to get through. Cathy was an empathetic ear that gave me the tools to manage side effects and stress through diet and nutrition; she was the “friend-who’s-been-there” who understood where I was at physically, emotionally & spiritually. Learning more about what my body would need to heal and recover helped me to regain some of the control I had lost. Working with Cathy brought me back to solid ground, where there was a plan I could follow one day at a time, and soon I began to visualize myself being ok again. It was a game-changer for my mental health. I feel incredibly fortunate to have met Cathy during an extremely difficult time in my life, and she continues to support me. The work she does has been invaluable to me and I wish all cancer patients could have someone like her in their corner.
Working with Cathy was far one of the best investments I could’ve done during my cancer journey. I came across her listening to a podcast in which she was a guest speaker. After listening to her I knew I needed to work with a cancer coach for additional support. She replied right away and I immediately felt at ease. She is extremely knowledgeable and her 4-week program was super thorough and life changing. She was so professional and always made it a point to reduce my stress and anxiety. I learned so much working with her from gratitude to ensuring I am eating adequately to support my body during treatment. She helped me figure out an eating window that worked best for me all while improving my sleep. I always looked forward to our calls and although an hour may seem long, she presents all the information in a way that is easy to digest and it is not overwhelming. It is never too late to start the program as she also gives you information to help you after you are done with chemo!
Having Cathy as my nutritionist and post breast cancer coach has provided me with a wonderful tool in my journey to remain healthy. Cathy is extremely knowledgeable and takes the time to put information into context that I can use and understand. One of the most invaluable components of working with Cathy are the meal plans created based on my specific health needs and tailored to my dietary preferences. The meal plans have been instrumental in my recovery process as they are realistic, workable, affordable and delicious! I met Cathy after my cancer diagnosis and she has provided me with protocols during each step of the cancer process, from nutritional support during chemotherapy and radiation treatment, to creating a program to reduce side effects of ongoing medication and the implementation of a preventative regime. Cathy takes time to listen to my questions and concerns and provides realistic strategies to deal with the daily struggles. Cathy is supportive and enthusiastic and provides continued knowledge and guidance as I take steps to greater health. Cathy, you are my secret weapon and I thank you for all you have taught me!
I met Cathy just over a year ago. I was frustrated with taking a host of medications for a chronic cough and acid reflux as well as uncontrollable weight gain. After our first consultation I stopped my cough and reflux meds, started my nutritional plan and within 2 weeks my cough and acid reflux had disappeared. The bonus was I had lots of energy and started dropping weight while eating more than I previously ate. I can’t thank Cathy enough for changing my way of eating which changed my health.

Cathy sets you up for success with her ongoing support, positivity and commitment. With Cathy on your side, all of your health and wellness goals are well within reach!
I was referred to Cathy Biase through a friend/co-worker. Dealing with the medical system / doctors for 30 years and frustrated as medication wasn’t working or diets suggested. It wasn’t long for me to decide that Cathy Biase was the individual I needed guidance from. I decided to give Cathy a try and listen to her take on my condition. At my first appointment she clearly explained everything and planned out an approach to better health. Within a week, I was seeing a difference and to this day still am on a better track to optimal health. I first met Cathy in April and have continued my nutritional care with her. She actively listens to your concerns, gives you her feedback and also you opportunity to be a director of your health care. Cathy is very open to emails and feedback outside of appointments which gives me comfort that I don’t need to wait until the next appointment if I need quick advice. If you want to invest in your health, invest your time in Cathy Biase, you will glad you did!
Cathy raises me up when I’m down. Cathy sees me through every step of this process, even carries me through at times. I will not feel hopeless as long as she is in my life. I’m only this positive because of the care she is giving me. Her positivity and practical way of “dealing” with things is contagious. Cathy has taught me how to think better, and “don’t worry until you have to”. Cathy is more than a nutritionist and cancer coach, she is my friend. I am blessed to have her in my life. Cathy has changed my life for the better. Cancer, although upsetting, has given me many positives in my life–and one of the best ones is My Cathy ❤
In the spring of 2015, cancer turned my family’s world upside down. Scared and unsure about the path ahead of us, we turned to Cathy for support and guidance. Her direct approach to alternative therapies and her confidence that the options and treatments available to my husband would not only complement his conventional treatment but also aid in lessening its side effects, helped reassure us during a most difficult time. Cathy was with us every step of the way and we will never be able to thank her enough.
I was introduced to Cathy Biase through my naturopathic Doctor in Ajax. I had been seeking a holistic nutritionist for awhile. Cathy is a gem! She is very patient and an easy person to talk to. She is very knowledgeable in the field of holistic medicine. After surviving cancer she embraced holistic nutrition. She is a walking testimony of the benefits of holistic nutrition. Cathy provides support through meal plans, recipes and is readily available to answer questions. I think of her as my mentor.
