Lenny Cohen, MD, is a top-ranked, award-winning neurologist who leads the practice at Chicago Neurological Services in Chicago and Oak Park, Illinois. Dr. Cohen is an expert physician who has spent more than a decade committed to personalized care that helps each of his Chicagoland patients understand their condition, feel their best, and live each day comfortably. He offers the latest technology for treatment and stays up to date with the latest research. Dr. Cohen started his medical education in Russia where he was born and raised. At the age of 20, he moved to New York City to pursue his passion for medicine. He earned his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in Saint Maarten. He is highly respected amongst his peers and patients and in addition to founding Chicago Neurological Services, Dr. Cohen is also the founder of Lakeshore Hyperbaric Center in Chicago. Dr. Cohen uses advanced science and a devotion to personalized care to offer men and women a unique approach focused on their long-term health and well-being. This Week On The Health Hub…Linking the Microbiome To Autism with Dr. James Adams

James B. Adams, Ph.D., is the Director of the Autism/Asperger’s Research Program at Arizona State University. His research focuses on the medical causes of autism and how to treat and prevent it including the areas of nutrition (vitamins/minerals, essential fatty acids, carnitine, digestive enzymes, special diets), oxidative stress, gut problems, gut bacteria, toxic metals, and seizures.   He has published over 150 peer-reviewed scientific articles, including over 40 related to autism.  He is also the President of the Autism Society of Greater Phoenix, the President of the Autism Nutrition Research Center, the co-leader of the Scientific Advisory Committee of the Autism Research Institute, and chair of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Neurological Health Foundation.  He has an adult daughter with autism.

This Week On The Health Hub…It’s Your Baby Too! Dad’s Role In The Birthing Process with Brian Salmon

Brian W. Salmon also known as Brian the Birth Guy, is a doula, certified lactation counselor, and prenatal imaging specialist. Brian holds a degree in radiology, studied biology and chemistry with an emphasis in pathophysiology and owns BabyVision Ultrasound, San Antonio’s leader in 3D and 4D pre-natal imaging ultrasound. He created the Rocking Dads childbirth class for birth partners, and the Facilitating Fearless Birth class for couples and co-authored The Go to Guide for New Dads. He has partnered with over 20,000 couples in his ultrasound clinics, birth classes, speaking engagements, and hospitals as a doula. He lives with his two beautiful daughters in San Antonio, TX.

This Week On The Health Hub…Achieving Strong, Functional Pain-Free Bodies Feet First! with Kianna Gnap

Kianna Gnap is a fitness professional, athlete, and “Foot Nerd”. She is a certified personal and group fitness trainer. She earned her Bachelor of Science at Western University, and went on to pursue a Masters in European History from Kingston University in London, UK. After completing her schooling, Kianna rediscovered her inherent passion for fitness and changed career trajectories at the age of 26.  She currently works as a Fitness Coach at Orangetheory Fitness. This year she graduated from The Foot Collective’s “Foot Nerd” program, and is enthusiastic about teaching others how build a strong, functional, and pain-free foundation.
