Dr. Turner Osler is a retired academic trauma surgeon, turned research epidemiologist. He is the CEO and Founder of QOR360, a company specializing in active seating products for homes, offices, and schools, designed to help alleviate problems caused by sitting. Dr. Osler and his team are passionate to help educate a new generation on active sitting, and support an aging population with back pain.  Dr. Osler has published over 300 peer-reviewed medical papers and book chapters. As a physician who’s suffered from a tyranny of conventional chairs for most of his life, Dr. Osler’s quest for a healthier way to sit led him to develop the Redrocker, a new geometric solid, the Eccentric Bicylinder. This shape is central to QOR360’s ergonomic, healthy, and active seating products.

This Week On The Health Hub…An Integrative Approach to Chronic Fatigue Syndrome & Multiple Chemical Sensitivity with Dr. Liam LaTouche

Dr. Liam LaTouche is a Naturopathic Doctor and educator with a clinical focus in complex chronic disease, including chronic Lyme disease and co-infections, mold illness, multiple chemical sensitivities  autoimmune disease, metabolic and digestive conditions, chronic pain, and chronic fatigue.  Dr. LaTouche uses an integrative mind-body approach, drawing from extensive training and experience in Naturopathy, Biological Medicine, Homotoxicology, Applied Kinesiology, Neural Therapy, Reiki, and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, to help patients who experience conditions that have been difficult to diagnosis and treat in conventional settings, and who have had limited success working with other practitioners.  In addition to clinical practice, Dr. LaTouche is the Eastern Canada Education and Technical Support Manager for Vita Aid Professional Therapeutics, and is also a part-time faculty member at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition in Toronto.

This Week On The Health Hub…Functions of Mast Cells with Dr. Lawrence Afrin

After training at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), Dr. Afrin practiced and researched hematology/oncology at MUSC 1995-2014 while also working in educational administration and medical informatics.  Since the mid-’00s, his clinical/research work has come to focus in mast cell disease.  Since 2014-17 furthering this work at the University of Minnesota, he has been developing an independent institute (located in the greater New York City area) for advancing care, research, and education in mast cell disease.  His publication record includes some of the most highly accessed articles about mast cell activation syndrome and a popular book in the field.
