{"id":1315,"date":"2016-11-23T12:58:58","date_gmt":"2016-11-23T17:58:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.cathybiase.com\/?p=1315"},"modified":"2016-11-23T12:58:58","modified_gmt":"2016-11-23T17:58:58","slug":"dont-always-need-protein-shake-working","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cathybiase.com\/index.php\/2016\/11\/23\/dont-always-need-protein-shake-working\/","title":{"rendered":"You Don&#8217;t Always Need a Protein Shake After Working Out"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Absolutely consuming protein is important after a workout. \u00a0But don&#8217;t limit your sites to protein shakes alone. \u00a0Don&#8217;t get me wrong, \u00a0I love protein shakes but sometimes I just want to chew something.<\/p>\n<p>There are lots of great protein sources you can tap in to. \u00a0Eggs and hemp heart are 2 of them.<\/p>\n<p>As for the rest of the ingredients they all a have purpose beyond great taste.<\/p>\n<p>Pea shoots are loaded with vitamins A &amp; C as well as their own kick of protein.<\/p>\n<p>And I always try to add a fermented food when possible. \u00a0Sourdough and apple cider vinegar are today&#8217;s fair.<\/p>\n<p>Here are my sandwich ingredients recapped:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 egg<\/li>\n<li>1 TBSP Hemp Hearts<\/li>\n<li>2 pieces of sourdough bread<\/li>\n<li>A handful of pea sprouts<\/li>\n<li>Apple Cider Vinegar<\/li>\n<li>Salt and Pepper<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Absolutely consuming protein is important after a workout. \u00a0But don&#8217;t limit your sites to protein shakes alone. \u00a0Don&#8217;t get me wrong, \u00a0I love protein shakes but sometimes I just want &hellip;
